FAQs | Westhouse Retrievers

We only have puppies when we have our carefully planned litters. The best place to see our current situation is on our Puppy Availability page, or you can join our enquiry list.
The health and wellbeing of our dogs are top priorities. Our dogs undergo the relevant health testing to help us breed healthy, high-quality puppies. We are always open about our health testing and happy to explain the results.
All of our puppies at Westhouse Retrievers are raised in a home environment. They experience everyday household life, different sounds, people and everyday appliances which help them become accustomed to everyday family life.
Our puppies leave for their new homes with a comprehensive puppy pack with everything you need to introduce your puppy into your home, including a supply of their current food, a scented blanket, essential information and and a lifetime of support.
Please complete our Puppy application form so we can get to know you. This helps us ensure the right match for both our puppies and your home.

Yes, we have a small number of carefully selected stud dogs, with excellent lines. All of our stud dogs are health tested and have the temperament which we value in the breed. Please visit our stud dogs page for more information.
We welcome visits 24 hours a day 7 days a week, unlike some breeders you have to call and arrange visiting times. Here at Westhouse we have nothing to hide. You're more than welcome to turn up whenever suits you and meet the family.
Yes, we have a beautiful onsite holiday let which sleeps 2 adults and 2 children (on a sofa bed). This is great for giving you the chance to spend more time with your puppies and explore the Yorkshire Dales where your puppy starts its life.
Our relationship with your puppies and you as customers never stops when you leave Westhouse. We're always here to offer you support throughout your dogs life. We love nothing more than seeing your puppy updates.
