Sharing our home with three retrievers has given us plenty to laugh about—and plenty to learn. We each have our own bond with Duke, Iris and Brie, and know the little habits that make them who they are.
As we prepare to welcome our little boy in November, we’re looking forward to seeing him grow up alongside them. For us, that everyday companionship is the part of life with dogs we value most.
More than retrievers, this is our home, our family and the life we love.
Meet the Family Behind
Westhouse Retrievers

We’re Cameron and Abbie, the family behind Westhouse Retrievers. From our home in the Yorkshire Dales, we share everyday life with our three retrievers and a growing family.
Get to know the people and dogs who make Westhouse home.
THE PEOPLE BEHIND WESTHOUSE

ABBIE
Dogs have been a huge part of Abbie's life and work for her whole life.
Her experience working alongside other breeders has given her an invaluable understanding of the care, responsibility and the five-star level of service, we wish to offer at Westhouse Retrievers.
Cameron looks after much of the home, land and future plans of Westhouse Retrievers. Having lived in the countryside for most of his life, he believes a day spent outside with our retrievers is a day spent well.

BUILDING A FUTURE TO LAST AT WESTHOUSE
Westhouse Retriever is still at the beginning of our journey, and we're deliberately taking our time to make something special.
Not to become bigger, but
to breed better.
The aim is to create an environment where
everything we could reasonably want for a mum is right here, while still keeping them connected to the sights, sounds and routines of family life.

THREE RETRIEVERS.
THREE VERY DIFFERENT
CHARACTERS.
Then there are the other three members of the family. Our retrievers.
They share our home, our sofas, our walks and pretty much everything in between.
They are not dogs that disappear into kennels at the end of the day or left alone. They live alongside us and are part of our normal family life - which is why they have the best temperament and social skills.
As Westhouse grows, you'll be able to meet each of them properly on Our Dogs page and follow their individual stories and journeys.

HOME IS WHERE IT STARTS
We're incredibly fortunate to call the Yorkshire Dales home. Surrounded by countryside, fields and seemingly endless places to walk, it gives our dogs the kind of life we always imagined for them.
But it isn't just the space that matters to us. It's the atmosphere.
A calm house. Familiar people. Everyday noises. Visitors coming and going. Family evenings. Children. Walks. Cars. Hoovering.
The ordinary noises are what make our puppies stand out from others.
