Bringing home a puppy is a significant commitment.
These terms explain what you can expect from
Westhouse Retrievers - and what we ask of every future owner.
All prospective owners are required to complete our puppy application form. This helps us ensure the right homes for our puppies. Submitting an application does not guarantee a puppy, and we reserve the right to decline an application.
Unless prior arrangement is arranged, a non-refundable fee of £500 is required to secure your chosen puppy. Full details of payment amounts, payment schedule and what is included will be provided at the time of reservation.
Puppy choices are confirmed in the order of the waiting list. We will guide you through the process and keep you up to date with photos, videos and information. Puppies can leave for their forever homes from 8 weeks of age, and must be collected in person by the owner. Unless prior agreement is arranged.
All of our puppies receive a full veterinary health check, are vaccinated, microchipped and treated for worms and fleas before leaving for their new homes. We cannot guarantee or take responsibility if a dog develops a hereditary condition. Health records and relevant information will be provided in their puppy pack.
By buying a puppy from Westhouse Retrievers, you agree to provide a safe, loving home, appropriate diet, regular exercise and routine vet care if needed. You must also comply with all UK laws regarding dog ownership.
We are committed to raising healthy, well-socialised puppies and to providing ongoing advice and support throughout your puppy's life. We will always be here for guidance and never expect a puppy to be rehomed without asking us first and gaining relevant permission.
Puppies will be microchipped, vaccinated and provided with a puppy pack including their vet records, microchip details, vaccination card and relevant documentation.
While every effort is made to breed for sound health and temperament, we cannot guarantee the future size, appearance, coat colour, working ability, fertility, temperament or behaviour of any puppy.
We love to see our puppies grow and we ask that you keep in touch with updates and photos, when possible. It means a great deal to us and helps us follow each individual pup's journey.
If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us at the earliest available time. Reservation fees are non-refundable, but may be transferred at our discretion. We understand that circumstances can change and will always try to be fair and reasonable.
If at any point you are no longer able to keep your puppy/dog, you must contact us immediately. Our puppies must never be sold on or rehomed without our knowledge, and we will always take a puppy back if needed.
Puppies sold by Westhouse Retrievers will not have endorsements unless otherwise stated before purchase. Where an endorsement applies, the relevant documentation will be provided before purchase.
Use of a Westhouse Retriever stud dog is subject to a seperate written Stud Agreement. Acceptance of a bitch for mating is at our discretion and may be subject to a health screening and other equirements. Payment of a stud fee does not guarantee conception, pregnancy, litter size or the quality of resulting puppies.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue any proposed mating where we believe it would not be in the best interest of either dog or resulting puppies.
Information on our website, including proposed matings, expected litter dates, anticipated litter sizes, colours and availability, is provided as guidance only and may change. Publication of a planned litter does not guarantee that a mating, pregnancy, birth or puppy of a particular sex or colour will occour.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
