Life at Westhouse is about far more than walks and training. Some of our favourite moments are the quiet ones, with the dogs simply relaxing together at home.Westhouse is about long walks, training or being outside exploring the Dales.

Sometimes it looks a little more like this.

Two retrievers, one towel, and apparently a very important afternoon nap.

For us, these are the moments that matter just as much as everything else. Our dogs are part of our everyday family life. They’re around us while we’re working, outside while we’re getting jobs done, and usually never too far away when it’s time to settle down.

That’s also a huge part of how we want Westhouse Retrievers to grow.

We’re building something deliberately small and personal, where our dogs remain family dogs first and foremost. Any future litters will be carefully planned, with health, temperament and giving each puppy the right start taking priority over everything else.

There will always be plenty going on here at Westhouse — especially with our plans for the future — but we hope we never lose sight of these simple moments.

Because sometimes the best part of the day is just watching them sleep.
